It's summer, y'all. Touring season. And the next few weeks are action-packed.

On Canada Day (that's July 1st , for all you non-hoser types) I'll be playing some kick-ass rocked up Newfoundland trad music with Kelly Russell and the Planks at the main stage in Jacques Cartier Park in Hull , QC. If you haven't heard the Planks, you can have a listen to tracks from our first album on the tunes page. Imagine the wickedest fiddler you've ever heard getting run over by Black Sabbath's tour bus.

After Canada Day the rest of the Planks head home and I'm off to do a few solo acoustic shows.

We had a few breathless and uncertain moments there, but the Toronto gig with Jerry Stamp is back on. It's been moved to Hooch/The Gypsy Co-op. If you're in the T-dot on Wednesday July 5th you can watch me and Jerry drink beer and mercilessly heckle each other while we spin the hits. Good times.

On Thursday July 6th I'll be at Hunter's Ale House in Charlottetown PEI, once again drinking beer and getting heckled, this time by my old pal Donovan Morgan.

For the Haligonians among you, I'll be in Halifax on the 7th – more details to follow. Then it's back to St. John's for a gig with Glenn Nuotio and Neil Conway before launching into Sound Symposium XIII, where I'll be playing the guitar, bashing the drums and shooting the crap out of musical instruments with a paintball gun as part of the experimental/comprovisational trio McKudo.

Coming up in August…more dates in Eastern Canada .
